"BIT helps people with learning difficulties (such as dyslexia, ADD, ADHD), by correcting the misrouting and the improper timing of information being sent to the brain, clearing any blocks along the way and thereby breaking the barriers to learning. BIT therapy addresses concentration, memory, visual processing, auditory processing, planning, and comprehension. The time required for treatment varies from case to case, but typically, the corrections are completed in eight to twelve hours using a combination of acupressure and muscle testing, both of which are completely noninvasive procedures."

I just returned from having this treatment done on my daughter Alyx. She has ADHD, which has made it very difficult for her in school. She is in sixth grade and at a fourth grade reading level. Her comprehension is very low, as are her math skills. I am starting this blog because I want to keep a record of the changes that I see in her. We went to Colorado and met with Dr. Shelese Pratt who was trained by Susan McCrossin. Her Integration was completed in three days, consisting of eight hours of treatment.
It is now December 20, 2010. Her integration has been complete for three days now. Since then I have already noticed several changes. Alyx has been going to bed very easily without any arguments. This is really rare for her. Usually there is a lot of whining and begging to stay up later and of course messing around with her younger sister. She is saying "Please and Thank You" without being prompted to do so. Anyone who knows Alyx, knows she is talking all of the time. This has slowed down.
I was reading with her last night. I would ask her to read in her head and then ask her questions about what she read. She was easily able to answer the questions. This is a big improvemnt for her. Comprehension and reading has always been very difficult for her. Dr. Pratt said that she will be at her grade level (sixth grade) or higher by the end of the school year. This is what I am really looking forward to seeing. Alyx starts Junior High next year and it is very important that she is at grade level before that.
I am going to continue to post any changes that I see in hopes that it will help anyone else out there that is noticing problems in their children. I am also going to take the classes and the training so that I will be able to help other children and their families. This has been a very difficult few years in dealing with Alyx. My husband and I were at our wits end, not knowing what else to do. Alyx had been on various ADHD medications over the year. At the beginning of last summer I decided that we had enough of that. The medication, Focalin, is a methamphetimine. It was causing loss of appetite,headaches and they were constantly wanting to raise her dosage. We decided to take her off of the medication. In order to do that we had to ween her off of them. This took almost two months of lowering the dosage. That alone tells me how bad the medicine really was for her. She would have gone through withdrawal if we had just stopped her taking it. I kept telling myself that there has to be another way. My sister-in-law heard about BIT from one of her friends and decided to do it for her daughter. She would call me on a weekly basis to share the progress she had seen in her daughter. The results are amazing. We decided that we would also try this integration.
I will keep posting any results that I see.
